• Eaves - The lowest part of a roof, overhanging the top of a wall.
• Engaged Column - A column apparently partly embedded in a wall (also known as attached columns).
• Engineering Bricks - Very strong bricks. Because they are impervious to water engineering bricks are sometimes used for damp-proof courses.
• Entasis - The slightly convex curve to the side of a column, formed in order to counteract the optical illusion of the outline being concave should the sides be straight.
• Escutcheon - The metal plate around a keyhole.
